You will be expected to work on a team projects using Pro/Engineer, as well as one of the add-on modules (FEA, motion, sheet metal)

The first portion of the team project has the overall goal of refreshing your Creo Modeling skills as well as introducing you to modeling assemblies with connections. In the second part of the project, your team will use this model to perform a variety of analyses.
projects could include:

- Optimizing/analyzing the steering mechanism on the human powered vehicle

In general, the design you work with should have at least 3 components that move and can be "studied".
For the first part of the project the deliverables will include:
1. A complete set of engineering drawings consisting of:
a. Detail drawings for all non-stock parts
b. Complete assembly drawings (balloons, parts list, ...)
2. All part and assembly models
3. PDF's of all the drawing files
4. CAD models/drawings for parts or assemblies analyzed

For the second part of the project the deliverables include:
1. CAD models/drawings for parts or assemblies analyzed.
2. An informal report describing and discussing the results of the analyses

Second part. Project report format.

I. Project Description
This section should give a brief overall description of your project. Include in this
section such items as:
a. brief overview of what your group is modeling
b. goals for the analyses performed (i.e. minimize weight, increase horse power,...) and constraints (i.e. maximum stress, displacement values, minimum factors of safety, ...)

This section of the report should discuss the analyses performed for your project in general terms. The specifics for each analysis (i.e. constraints, loads, design studies, etc) run for your project in your model covered in the next section.

II. Analyses Performed
In this section of your report, you should describe each of the analyses your group
performed. For each analysis you should specify:
• Type of model (solid, 3D shell ...)
• Constraints applied, including symmetry, where appropriate
• Applied loads
• Model material and properties (i.e. thickness for 2D and 3D shell models)
When describing the loads and constraints in each analysis, try to correlate the
constraints and loads you applied to the part's "real world" operating environment.

III. Analysis Results
In this section discuss the results of the analyses your team performed. When discussing your results, keep the following in mind:
Significant digits - Don't just copy and paste numbers to 8 decimal places.
Standard Sizes - Make sure to use standard sizes where appropriate. For example, if goal of analysis is to minimize weight, and the result of the analysis is to increase a hole size, report new size at closest standard size hole.
Graph formats - graphs for sensitivity or optimization studies that are inserted into the body of report should be created using Excel.
Units - Make sure you're using the correct units when reporting results. It is acceptable to convert results to more standard units (i.e. convert to lb from lbf-sec2 /in)
Fringe Legends - Especially when comparing results of 2 or more analyses, make sure fringe legends are to same scale.
In this section concentrate on discussing, analyzing, and interpreting the results of the analyses your group performed and how they relate to meeting your teams design goals. Convergence analysis should not be discussed in detail in this section of the report, unless you are dealing with a "diabolical" model. All other convergence graphs/data should be included in appendix and can be in the form of graphs generated by the program.

Drawings for any components that you would change as a result of the analyses performed should be included in the appendix of the report. In the body of the report, report these changes and make proper reference to appendix.

IV. Appendices
Your appendix should include:
A. Before and after drawings for components that have changed as a result of your teams analyses.
a. There should be 1 drawing per page.
b. Drawings will follow standard practices with respect to centerlines, hidden lines, etc.
c. The first drawing will be the complete assembly, followed by detail drawings and sub-assemblies.
B. Calculations performed to determine constraints/loads.
C. Convergence data/graphs for each of the components analyzed

The project need to at least 3 components. So I do not want very complex model. simple is best.
