Requirements
a) Research and describe how 2 different MNEs adopt the chosen HR practice
b) Discuss the challenges of the chosen HR practice on the MNEs domestic and international labour force.
c) Suggest any 2 areas for improvement that the MNEs can adopt regarding the chosen HR practice to become employer of choice.
Part A - Review of HR Practices
Learners are to write a report covering any TWO (2) HR practices, by conducting both primary and secondary research. Select any ONE (1) Conventional HR Practice from Basket A and any ONE (1) Contemporary HR Practice from Basket B:
i. Clearly explain the objectives of the chosen HR practice.
ii. Secondary research: MNE Application
a. Research and describe how 2 different MNEs adopt the chosen HR practice*
b. Discuss the challenges of the chosen HR practice on the MNEs' domestic and international labour force.
c. Suggest any 2 areas for improvement that the MNEs can adopt regarding the chosen HR practice to become employer of choice.
iii. Primary research: Conduct a simple interview on any 5 individuals working in MNEs to obtain different employee sentiments / perception / experiences regarding the chosen HR practice. The responses should come from full-time Singapore-based employees from different MNEs. Present and analyze the interview responses, stating your observations and insights for organizations implementing the HR practices.
Part A should be presented in 2 parts, covering Basket A and B respectively.
*You may reference any news article, trade journal articles, LinkedIn articles, or Library Resources (nyp.edu.sg) as reference.
Part B - Video Sharing
Create a 1-minute video sharing to educate the public on either ONE HR practice that you have chosen from Part A. The video is meant for sharing on any of the following social media platform: YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. The video should be factually correct, culturally sensitive, educational, original, creative, and engaging.
