Multimillionaire Scrooge dies, leaving his fortune to his clerk's son, Tiny Tim. However, Scrooge's will is contested, by Joshua. Joshua's birth certificate indicates that he is the son of Jacob Marley, Scrooge's former partner; and Jacob Marley raised Joshua he passed away while Joshua was 15 years of age. It is uncontested that after Jacob Marley passed away that Scrooge supported Joshua. Joshua did not look like Jacob Marley but instead is the spitting image of Scrooge. Now that Scrooge has passed away, Joshua wants to be named Scrooge's out of wedlock son and that he should inherit Scrooge's fortune. At the trial Joshua takes the stand and is questioned by his attorney Attorney : What is your name? Defense attorney Objection - Hearsay Court: How is this hearsay? Defense attorney Your honor, the only way he can know his name is based on what someone told him. Is the defense attorney correct? Does it meet the definition of hearsay?
