Question

The patient is a 24-year-old woman who was involved in a motor vehicle accident in which she sustained bilateral femur fractures. The patient has undergone surgery and is now being taught slide board transfers from the wheelchair to and from the bed. The patient requires moderate assistance for board setup and minimal assistance for managing the wheelchair parts. She needs moderate assistance from 2 people to transfer in and out of the wheelchair.
