As you're probably aware, the Super Bowl is the biggest annual roll-out for new ads, most of which will appear for the first time during the game and some of which won't run again after this. This year advertisers are spending around $6.7 million for 30 second spots, which of course means that they're running the very best ads they can produce.

Please go through the ads and find one that you thought did a great job and one that you think did a poor job. Bear in mind that I'm not asking you which ones you liked (though you can share those too if you want). I'm asking which ones you thought did the best and worst at reaching their target audiences and achieving their goals.

I understand that it's still somewhat early in the semester, and we haven't yet discussed some of the things you should know before doing this kind of analysis. So for this week just do the best you can, and trust that by the time May rolls around that you'll be much more comfortable reverse-engineering ads to figure out what they're trying to do and estimating their chances of success.
