Subject - Strategic Management

a. If your company's product is mobile phones, do you think it would make a better strategic sense to employ a multi-domestic strategy, a global strategy, or a transnational strategy? Why?
Transnational strategy: I would employ the transnational strategy as I know that manufacturing and the assembly take places in different countries. But I would prefer the centralization and coordination of the standards to be maintained.
b. If your company's product is dry soup mixes and canned soups, would a multi-domestic strategy seem to be more advisable than a global strategy? Why?
Multi-domestic strategy: Different countries have different tastes and cultures. To win the market they need to satisfy the needs of people differently.
c. If your company's product is large home appliances such as washing machines, ranges, ovens, and refrigerators, would it seem to make more sense to pursue a multi-domestic strategy, a global strategy, or a transnational strategy? Why?
Multi-domestic - For example: Indians are more into spicy foods. Unlike the US- a lot of baking. I am not sure if every home would use an oven in India especially if it made like the ones in the US. They have smaller versions of ovens to meet the needs of people. As well as different power usage system/ ports US Pin / Europe pin
d. If your company's product is apparel and footwear, would a multi-domestic strategy, a global strategy or a transnational strategy seems to have more appeal?
Multi-domestic strategy: based on climatic conditions and tastes the people of different countries respond differently. So having a strategy as this would help, but I would consider Standardization/globalization of the quality and approach.
