1. You are working as a counselor at a College. A student comes to you who says he has a fear of public speaking and has to present in front of his literature class at the end of the semester (12 weeks). How could you work with him using systematic desensitization to help him overcome this fear? Assume he has agreed to this course of treatment.

2. You are a certified and licensed counselor at a local mental health facility. Someone with PTSD from experiencing a house fire comes in and asks for treatment using the therapy you are offering. For this assignment, assume you have been certified in EMDR, CBT, Art Therapy, or a certified therapy dog handler. (If you know of another certification in which you are interested you can use that as well.) What are the benefits of your therapy compared to only using traditional talk therapy? Does your certification help individuals to overcome the trauma without re-experiencing it through the retelling or does it help in another way?
