When I arrived, children were sitting in morning circle
2 children sat close to you
Children asked, "Who is that?"
"That is my teacher'
You continued to sit with the children as they practiced yoga
You got up and practiced a few moves with them
Children began to giggle
"I can do this"
"I see you doing that"
Children transitioned to snack
One child did not want snack
Wanted to go to the library
1 child went to the library
You went with him
"Do you want to pick the book?"
Child sat close, you let him hold, turn the pages, and guide the story
You asked questions, pointed to words, welcomed additional children to join
Use inflection in your voice, soft tone, eye contact and repositioned yourself to allow additional children to join in. Welcomed them to read with you.
