This section went on to use an observational study conducted by a researcher named Aiken, in which analyzed patients records in nine European countries and concluded that nurses with a bachelor's education are associated with significantly fewer deaths after surgery. This observational study further concluded that every 10% increase in bachelor prepared nurses is associated with a 7% reduction in mortality (Black, 2024).
