This assignment will give you an opportunity to apply the different kinds of measurement we talked about in class to a research topic you're interested in.

The first thing you need to do is think of a variable (e.g., intelligence, honesty, social support, anxiety, openness to experience). You'll base your answers off of that variable.

Note: No using self-esteem or social support since we went over those examples in class!

What is the variable you are using for this assignment?

List at least two questions that you could ask on a self-report survey to measure that variable.

Describe how you could measure that variable using a behavioral observation.

What do you think would be the best way to measure your variable: self-report, behavioral trace, behavioral observation, or behavioral choice? Why? (note: your answer needs to make clear that you understand whatever measurement strategy you're choosing)
