Consider for a minute the beauty and wonder of God's love for diversity. God made our world, and the people in it, so diverse and unique! Yet, we are all fashioned in His image. How amazing is our God that He created us in such a diverse and beautiful way.
As social workers, much like as Christians, we value and honor diversity. We see diversity not as something that divides us, but that unites us. We are all diverse, and we are all children of God. As social workers, honoring diversity is essential and is one of the defining features of our profession. Regardless of one's shape, size, ethnicity, race, gender, socio-economic status, etc..., as social workers, we value our clients' diversity and their diverse life experiences.
As Christians, we do the same. We recognize that diversity is strength, and is a gift from God.
In what ways are you diverse?
How is your diversity strength (both personally and professionally)?
