BADB2301 Database For Small Business - Higher College of Technology
Section I
1. Walt Disney Studios Database may include tables like Films, Films Actor, Actor, Director, Genre & Films Genre. You are required to do the followings:
A. Include these tables (Films, Films Actor, Actor, Genre, Director, & Films Genre.) in your database, the names and the data types of all columns should be correct & appropriate. You may add other tables if you find them necessary. (8 Marks) Note: all the table should at least include 5 Field except the junction tables.
B. Use [Field size, Default Value, validation Rule and text, calculated field (Division, Multiplication and others), if statement, look up wizard, table formatting].
C. Assign Primary Key for each table.
D. Identify the foreign key and create the relationship between the tables.
Section II - Queries
1. Create Directors Details to show the details of film's directors. Include any five required fields and add any two criteria's used for text, date or number in this query.
2. Create total query using actors and films tables. Include at least three fields. Save query as Actors' film.
3. Create a query to show the films, their genre type and their directors. Include the required fields and add any two criteria's used for text. Sort the query by Films Name in Ascending order. Save query as Films Details.
4. Create a parameter query to show the details of the films and their actors. By adding required fields. Use the parameter to ask the end user to enter the Film's Title. Save the query as Film's Actors.
Section III - FORMS
1. Create two multi-table Form that should be created using from wizard. Ensure that data in all fields are readable.
2. These forms should include the following:
A. Tile and Date & Time in form Header.
B. At least two Buttons in form Footer.
C. At least two other controls in form Details (such as Combo Box, tab control, hyperlinks or others).
D. Make the following change to the label and data field for the both Form. Change the Label font color to Blue color and make it bold and change the data field border to Dark Blue color and line type to Dashes.
Section IV - REPORTS
1. The database should include at two multi-table reports created using report design and report wizard mentioned along with the Name of the company. Ensure that data in all fields are readable.
2. The Reports should include the followings:
A. Date & Time and the Page number.
B. Add Title to both reports and Change the font color of title to Dark Green & Make it Bold.
C. Change the field fill of the report page header to light orange.
D. Use the Button control to link one of the forms to both Reports.
E. Set All the Field data and Field Header alignment as Center
