Policy Topic
1). Submit the topic you would like to address in your policy analysis assignment. This policy analysis assignment requires you to address a public problem through research, the creation of policy goals, the evaluation of alternatives against your goals, and a final policy recommendation based on your analysis.
The topic submission must include a problem statement outlining the problem you are addressing through your analysis as well as some background information about the current situation and why it merits our attention. Please clearly state what the problem is, what it is you're trying to fix, and who it is you're trying to help.
2). Please identify and include links for 4 sources you plan to use in researching your topic. These sources can be governmental websites, research center websites, and other stakeholder websites, such as nonprofit and interest group sites; your sources cannot include Wikipedia, blogs, or other websites where the veracity/accuracy of the information has not been verified. You are also welcome to include articles from academic journals, newspapers, and magazines.
In addition to the link, please include a brief description of the information you'll be using from each site/source. For example, if you were looking at sea turtle conservation, you might list a link to the EPA's website about turtle conservation and include a brief statement that you will be using the EPA site for statistics about sea turtles as well as historical and current efforts to protect the species.
There is no length or format requirement for this assignment, please just be thorough in explaining the issue you're researching, what's broken, what you want to fix, and who it will help.
