Hank checks into the Wellington Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. He is directed to the hotel's parking lot where the attendant gives him a claim check and takes Hank's keys. Hank says to the attendant: "I have brand new Taylor made golf clubs in the trunk, very expensive, will they be safe?" The attendant responds: "No problem, we keep a close watch on all of the cars." Later Hank reads the back of the claim check that was given to him by the attendant. It reads in small print: "Not responsible for items left in trunk." When Hank returns the next morning to get his car, he opens the trunk, and the gold clubs are missing. Is the Wellington Hotel liable for loss of the golf clubs?
