My hypothesis is that the average person checks their social media pages at least 6 times a day. The data i collected last week during module 3 showed that some people, according to age, checked their pages up to 10 times a day. My data collection of numbers are 10, 5,7,3,7,2,0,1,8,4 these sample numbers were collected from 10 individuals and as stated before the data includes information from all ages. First, i found the mean of the data by adding the numbers and dividing by the number of individuals in the hypothesis which came out to be 4.7. I then found the variance and took the square root of 9.61 to get the standard deviation which is 3.1. I then found my t-statistic by taking the X-u0/s/n square rooted. which comes out to be 4.7-6/3.1/10 square rooted. which is 1.326 because the value of a is .05 the rejection region is 1.833.
