Tasks: Read the following scenario, understand and present your response. Description of the Company:
ABC group deals with selling of electronic goods all over Middle East region. The objectives of ABC group are to deliver high quality products to customers on a reasonable rate. The following scenario provides an outline of processes happening inside the organization in line with sales.
When a customer submits an order request to customer service department the details are recorded in an order file .Customer service department will send customer an order acknowledgement form after all details is recorded. The role of inventory department is to retrieve details from order file and check sufficient stock is available to deliver the order using details from stock file. The customer order is confirmed by inventory department and confirmation is forwarded to delivery department.
The delivery department takes quotation from Transport Company to create a shipment report, and then forwarded to Accounts department. Accounts department prepares an invoice with the details of order from order file and shipment details given by delivery department. The invoice details will also be stored into invoice file and a copy of invoice is issued to customer.
The purchase department keeps track of stock file, purchase order is created for out of stock items and forwarded to supplier. When goods come to inventory department from supplier, all goods are verified and establish that they are up to the expected quality. If any item is not reaching quality standards the item will be sent back to supplier immediately. The stock file will be updated, with the new items received from supplier.
