Question

Aurelius' Meditations are neither a dialogue nor an essay. They were written as personal writings, as private notes to himself for the sake of his own guidance and self-improvement. The Meditations is the personal diary of one of the most highly-esteemed Roman emperors. In the same vein, and like Aurelius does in the early books of the work, I want you to "diary" about your heroes. Who are those people whom you admire? Why do you admire them? Do you admire them for what you would call their "morality"? If so, what about their qualities or character is moral? If not, what about their qualities separates them from being deemed moral ones?

You should discuss at least two personal heroes of yours and dedicate two paragraphs to discussing each. For each, in the first paragraph, tell me the relevant details about the person and why you admire them. For the second, reflect on whether your admiration of them is due to their moral character or something else.
