A patient came into your office to complete an ultrasound. Due to improper documentation (wrong ICD code) the procedure was denied by the insurance and deemed not medically necessary after the procedure has occurred. The insurance is now attempting to charge the patient the full price of the procedure. As a manager how would you go about correcting this?
