Timelines for each activity and task are based on assumptions gathered from past data and surveying stakeholders. Chadukiewicz (2006) used Benjamin Franklin's phrase "Time is Money" which is applicable to the topic of direct and indirect time spent on a project. Although we tend to focus more on the cost of workers and capital items, the indirect cost of travel or even waiting for one task to end before another can begin cost as well. The lag time can add or decrease project time based on how assumptions made during the detailed scope documentation phase. In one way or another the "time is money" theory connects to each of the points made. What are your thoughts?
