Ethane gas burned in stoichiometric proportions of air in a closed flexible container. The reactants are initially at 1 at and 25°C and the temperature of the product is 627°C. During the combustion process heat is transferred to the surroundings which have a temperature of 25°C. Assuming complete combustion and that the pressure in the container remains constant. Determine the entropy generation during the process on the basis of 1 mole of ethane.
