The inside of a room is to be maintained at 20 degrees celsius while the outside temperature is -10 degrees celsius. Heat loss occurs from each of the 4 walls of the room to the outside. Each wall has an area of 2.5 m^2 and is made of a 1cm thick material that has a thermal conductivity of 0.2 W/m K. What should be the thickness of an isulator(of thermal conductivity 0.05 W/m K) that has to be added to the outside of each of the walls to maintain the insode of the room at 20 degrees celsius using a 500 W heater? Assume that the convective heat transfer coefficient between ambient air outside and the outide wall(with insulation) is 750 W/m^2 K.
