Look at the casual theory used by epidemiologists and making inferences of associations. Answer the three questions at the end of the case study in detail. Define what is meant by a causal association. Discuss how three of the criteria for causal association (strength, consistency and temporality) might be applied with respect to the relationship between cigarette smoking and lung cancer.
