Assignment - Philosophy of Law Project - Case - Roe v. Wade
Overview - This project is a curation project where you will form a collection of images, songs, and news stories related to a Supreme Court case of your choosing. The collection will be unified through a 4-5 page essay wherein you explain the case, the historical context of it (or contemporary context), and the logic behind the majority opinion and dissenting opinion. The overarching goal is to enhance our understanding of the culture and context during the time of your court case that was relevant to the questions raised by the case.
Goals -
1. To have the skill of reading through a court case and extracting the reasoning supporting opinions in the case.
2. To demonstrate an understanding of the cultural and political context in which a case takes place.
3. To find the themes prevalent in those contexts via art, music, news stories, interviews, political events/factors, of those times.
4. To understand how to comb through information and resources on the web and develop a cohesive explanation of how some of that information relates to one another as a collection (curation)

Page 2-6 Your short essay on the court case
Pages 7-10 each page will be an image or visual representing one object in your curated collection and a description of it and how it demonstrates something about the case.
VISUAL ELEMENT could be a picture or image from the song artist, a headline you found, an image of a person involved in the political event, etc.);
DESCRIPTION is 1 paragraph where you share what is it called, who made it, when was it made/when did it happen, and WHAT it shows about the themes of the case.
Page 11 is a bibliography of all sources used in APA format.
