A friend of mine named Allison (fictional to hide her identity) has asked me to help her make the subway on time. She normally takes over an hour to get ready and would like to reduce the amount of time she needs to get prepared to head out the door. I asked her to identify all of her morning activities and rough estimates that each take her to complete. Your assignment is to take the chart of her morning tasks and time duration in minutes and develop a network diagram and use critical path method to find the shortest time to complete all of these tasks. Make note of what tasks need to precede one another, for example, I know Allison, and she would never the leave the house without clean sparkling teeth. Post your assignment on the left under Individual Assignments\Post Your Network Diagram and Critical Path.You may use the same Excel Sheet, MS Visio, or project software to develop this but your work needs to have a clear network of tasks, all durations, dates for early start, early finish, late start, late finish and slack (float).
