Target Population

Name of the agency==== "All Faith Food Bank."

The target population for this project is retired individuals, this results in stress and insecurity regarding one's financial situation, which can contribute to chronic diseases. Also, this group population is concerned about their ability to obtain adequate nutrition. The lack of access to nutritious food and the inability to afford the food they need to maintain their health may indicate that they do not have regular access to nutritious food.   Lack of understanding regarding nutrition and how to maintain a balanced diet is another barrier. This is a concern since a significant portion of the population in question is unaware of the significance of maintaining a healthy diet and may not know how to achieve this goal.

Scholarly support

• Present current published evidence on this topic consistent with findings in the community setting and ideas for evidence-based interventions. Look for literature addressing the causes of the problems and/or interventions.
• Give three examples where the literature (peer-reviewed) supports the project as you envision it within the community; include how the examples relate to the topic you have chosen (example: Author and Author (2018) report the correlation between running and cardiovascular health resulting in decreased risk for MI....). Provide at least three separate sources (not one source with three examples.)
• Citations should be in-text with references at the end of this document (not the end of this section).
• Sources should be scholarly, not directed at the general population. Do not use WebMD, or scholarly sources using the teaching materials for the population.
