In this assignment, you and your classmates will enter the pH of different liquids of your choice in a table. The input of your item must be done before you answer the questions of the assignment.

You will then answer questions about the concepts underlying the rationale and use of the pH scale.

Choose a liquid and look up what the pH of the liquid is. It may be anything from the body, environment, food or beverage, industrial products, cleaning products or any other substance of your choosing.

  2. Was your liquid acidic, neutral, or basic? What does that mean in terms of OH- and H+ concentration?
