Question: A 24 y.o GBS positive female presented for labor management at 39 weeks and 4 days. Spontaneous vaginal delivery of an 8lb 12ox female occurred in the right occiput anterior position. A first-degree perineal laceration was noted and repaired. The patient had some increased bleeding after placenta delivery requiring Pitocin and 0.2mg of IM Methergine were given. The lower uterine segment was manually swept several times with return of about 100mL of clot. The uterus was firm. The cervix was visually inspected, and no lacerations were noted with no additional bleeding. The patient was recovering well postpartum and sent home on po iron for post-partum hemorrhage and acute blood loss anemia. Assign the appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
