Instructions
As future leaders, you will probably work in one of four types of healthcare service settings, each having different quality indicators.
This assignment allows you to familiarize yourself with the measurement resources available on the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) website. In particular, the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems, known as the CAHPS survey.
CAHPS surveys ask patients to report on their experiences with a range of healthcare services at multiple levels of the delivery system, from provider to health plans.
To get started, you will review the resources to become familiar with AHRQ and the resources and tools available. Next, you will review the surveys, tools, and website. Then, you will review and analyze surveys from each category.
Note: The information obtained from the survey you review in this assignment will be used to complete the Final Project: Measuring Healthcare Quality.
