Assignment:

Evaluation plays a crucial role in assessing the effectiveness of programs and policies in place. Evaluations allow agencies to be held accountable and help make informed decisions. Every program is evaluable with a few exceptions. Evaluations refer to the standards against which a program can b e evaluated (Shafritz et al., 2023). Each of these standards include fundamental questions that can be asked of any program. One question to be asked to evaluate the efficiency is 'are employees adequately qualified and correctly assigned to perform their task?'

The answers to these questions asked during evaluations can be used for the analysis. Evaluations provide analysis for public administrators through performance measures, cost-benefit, and feedback. Cost-benefit analysis is crucial because it determines if the program is worth investing into by providing all aspects of data. Evaluations are important in public administration because they can help prioritize resources, ensure programs meet standards, and help with strategic planning.
