Overview

The assignment is designed to provide you with the opportunity to assess the value of internal organizational information and external environmental information and establish priorities before determining goals and objectives.

Steps

1. Search the Internet for a healthcare organization's strategic plan.

2. Analyze the plan.

• Use these questions to guide your analysis:
• Who are the key stakeholders identified in the plan?
• Is the assessment of external and internal analysis evident in the plan?
• Is there any additional information you feel would help inform the strategic plan?
• Summarize at least three of the identified priorities, goals, and objectives. Please note, priorities, goals and objectives are all different.
• Generally, one priority is associated with a goal and objective. I am interested in 3 priorities, 3 goals, and 3 objectives. If an organization is only opting to use goals or objectives which does happen, please clarify that information in your posting. If the organization you select does not contain at minimum contain priorities, goals or objectives, please select another organization.
• Based on the provided information, are the priorities, goals, objectives appropriate? Please explain why or why not.
