Case: A human resource professional needs to have a solid understanding of the concept and applicability of employment laws in order to be effective. Of most importance is how they read, interpret, and apply the law in the employment setting. Given that understanding, answer the following:

Question 1: Choose one employment law that you have addressed/managed in the workplace. If you do not have that experience, choose an employment law with which you are familiar.
Clearly define the law in a succinct manner.

Question 2: Finally, assess the positive and negative impacts that the law has had for both the employee AND the employer, and how best a human resource professional can both follow that law AND ensure they remain effective and efficient as an organization.
