FIB is an Australian artificial intelligence (AI) company that was started by two entrepreneurs, Eric Lee and James May, in Brisbane in 2017. Eric and James met while completing their studies at university. They have a strong working relationship and are experts in deep learning, a technique where machines are trained via data feeding to help them make decisions and solve problems in the future when data is fed to them. The company employs 10 data scientists and mechanical engineers in their Brisbane office. With growing interest in the technology, FIB internationalized in 2019 and entered the USA market where it works with companies involved in manufacturing defense equipment.

The company has also received interest from some car manufacturing companies in the US, who are interested in developing smart, driverless cars. In 2020, FIB opened offices in Maryland and Michigan to have a local presence in North America.
