Assess Team-based Compensation Systems

For this assignment, assume you are an HR consultant who was recently hired by a cereal factory that is planning to implement team-based compensation for the first time. The CEO of the company wants to learn more about team compensation before making any decisions. Prepare a brochure about the types of team-based pay and discuss its strengths and benefits. For an excellent resource about the different types of team-based pay rewards, consult Chapter 6 in Gerhart and Rynes (2003), listed in this week's resources.

Design a 4-sided brochure that depicts the following:

1. Discuss the general benefits and limitations of team compensation.

2. List and explain three types of team compensation systems.

3. Offer a recommendation to the CEO about which type of team-based compensation should the company choose. Explain why and identify its benefits.

4. Include graphics and images to support your presentation.

5. Choose an appropriate software program to create your brochure, but if you use a specialized graphics program, be sure to save your document in a portable format such as a PDF or a JPEG before submitting it to your instructor.
