Assess R and Install a Dataset
Download the R installer and Download and install the R studio open source desktop.
Once R is installed, navigate around the screen and familiarize yourself with the sections of the RStudio environment.
Type 1 + 2 in the lower right (code) window of the main console, you should see the response [1] 2 indicated step 1 answer = 2.
Once you have familiarized yourself with RStudio:
1. Import the dataset from paper 1 by selecting Files from the lower right console and navigate to the dataset you downloaded.
2. Select View Data and take a screenshot of the R Studio console and paste it into a Word document.
3. Select Import File and take a screenshot of the R Studio console.
4. Copy the Code Preview and paste that into the Word document.
5. Import the data into R and take a screenshot, then paste that into the Word document. (Note: R Studio will automatically download needed packages to open the file; this is a one-time download).
6. Describe the difference between the three screenshots/R data. Each screenshot represents a step in the data import process. What does each step of this process do/mean?
7. Describe what each step of the code (from the code preview) means.
