A brief overview of the W5H aspects of my training training design

  • Who will be part of the training or audience; that they will be best suited for the purpose of the training and will best effectively apply on them to advance and improve on their various professional areas.
  • What are the training techniques that will be suitable for the training. The techniques should be simple to be carried out by the trainer and also effective in relaying the goals of the projects.
  • When will the training be conducted so as not to adversely disrupt their normal working schedule and should be suitable so that there can be good attendance.
  • Why is the training being carried for that particular group , the objectives of the training. is it either to help satisfy current trends and help boost their skills or due to a certain crisis.
  • Where will the training take place. They should choose a good audience to accommodate all and a place with minimal disruption and accessible to all.
  • How long will the training take place. This should also be communicated to the attendees so that they can be well prepared. And also a considerable amount of time for training and passing of the message should be set aside so that they can benefit and well understand the goals of the train program.

One appropriate training method drawn from each of the 3 different types/ categories of training methods

The most appropriate training method for this case is teacher led training or by an instructor who leads them in understanding the uttermost objectives of the training program. This is the most effective in that the instructor can help simplify out the difficult topics in a way the audience can easily understand. it is also more time saving and gives the audience a chance to ask questions and give out their opinions.

3] Guidelines for effective team/group formations and functioning

The best way to create effective team is by;

  • First check on your members and see if they are clearly informed of the of the goals, do they completely understand the roles assigned to them, can there be good flow of information and coordination among them, if your members satisfy this criteria then you can create teams among them.
  • Second try and asses if you as the leader is able to lead the teams effectively. Are the team members finding you easy to approach and reach out to to air out their grievances. Are they able to listen and implement whatever you tell the, are you able to seer them forward, You must be also be a genuine person and not biased.
  • Organizing of team building activities like sports and other recreational activities this helps establish good bonds among team members and also calculate positive relationship with their leader.
  • There should also be forums where team members can clearly air out their suggestions and be hard of whatever challenges they are undergoing.
  • Doing various evaluations on the teams and if they are achieving their set up objectives and are well coordinating.

4]How would you conduct an orientation for the teams

  • First i will give a summary of their objectives of the program roughly take them through. So that they can at least have an idea of what they will be engaging in.
  • Second carry out an introduction of each of the team members and also the leaders clearly defining out their roles and its importance. This will help create familiarity among members and easy coordination more so a positive environment where they feel comfortable and give out their opinions.
  • I will clearly state out the importance of the teams they are in why were they formed and the set up goals they are supposed to have achieved.
  • Inform them on the tools they will use if necessary the different learning materials and other equipment. And also take them through on how they can understand how they will use them for the benefit of achieving the set up objectives.
  • Making the team members familiarize with their team leaders and ensure effective coordination. 

5] How should leaders be selected for these regional/ provincial teams;

  • By selecting from those who want to be leaders in the team. One should be able to at least show interest so that they can lead and motivate well. Otherwise if you just do random selection without considering this aspect it may led to choosing someone who has no interest,
  • Picking from those that are able to talk well and listen to the grievances of their team members.
  • Team leaders that completely understand the objectives of the training and how they can be achieved through this they will be able to properly address their members and avoid miscommunication.
  • Leaders that can be emulated by the team and can exert positive influence to their teams.
