Assignments containing plagiarized (not cited or quoted) passages will be given a score of zero. Students submitting papers with 50% or greater copied material will be reviewed for failure of this course. Tie in the environmental studies principles and concepts to explain your topic, cite the textbook as a reference. At the end of your paper include a personal review section (designated by a title) where you review the article as a critic would review a book, movie, play, etc. Personal opinion in the paper should be limited to this section only. The term paper needs to be formally written using third person and limiting the use of casual/conversational phrases and contractions.
Do not use very many direct quotes from the article; this paper is intended to be YOUR review of the article. Do not use more than two short quotes and no quotes longer than three lines. This assignment is not a restatement of what the article said-boldly put: You will receive a zero for this assignment if any part of it is found to be plagiarized.
SafeAssign plagiarism detection software is used to quickly determine if any portion of an assignment is plagiarized. You have been warned. Your paper may include properly cited figures and/or tables from your article; however they do not count towards your number of required words. You will be penalized for being considerably under your word count requirements, but going over is permissible. For more information on grading of your papers, read the section,"Grading the Paper".
