As a licensed professional counselor, we know that minors cannot enter into contracts nor sign official documents on their own behalf except in specific situations. (American Counseling Association, 2014) Some of these situations include contraceptive counsel, medical care involving treatment for STD/STI's, prenatal delivery, post-natal care, Abortion services, and drug/alcohol treatment.
