Advertisement is a necessary evil!

They help make the marketing world alive. There are various reasons for measuring the effectiveness of advertisements.

Please write down an article on measurement of the effectiveness of advertisements. It should emphasize upon avoiding the costly mistakes to be made because adversely it will impact on the costs associated with money involved, time spent in doing research, making ads, human and machine efforts put up, a second research made in order to measure the effectiveness of the message. It further has costs involved in form of evaluation of brand awareness, reach and so on. The advertiser also has to see the ways of how to increase the advertisement efficiency and to determine if the objectives of the ads have been met or not.

The basic aim of the write up should be to evaluate the underlying principles for measuring the effectiveness of advertising.

It should be able to answer the questions like, what to measure, how to measure, where to measure, why to measure and when to measure the effectiveness of advertisements or promotional messages.
