Assignment:

People began to look to other sources than an authority from the past with the development of science. In the article New Learning or Scientific Revolution by Benjamin Guyer states, "From this perspective, the Scientific Revolution is the pivot around which modern history turns, enabling science to marginalize religion and enabling reason to overcome myth, paving the way for the Enlightenment and the explosive political revolutions of the late-eighteenth century." The Scientific Revolution was the change in modern history, it created science to be the main focus rather than religion thus eliminating tales, allowing Enlightenment and the combustive political uprising in the late eighteenth century. Previously everything was based on religion and was seen as how the world developed and worked.
