Paraphrasing Assignment -
This assignment uses Annual Editions: Technologies, Social Media, and Society. This book is a collection of articles. They are not necessarily peer-reviewed journal articles. They are in a collection of articles in an edited book and must be cited properly. Make sure you refer to the APA style guide to ensure you have formatted both your in-text citations and reference list properly.
You are to choose one unit from Units 2 - 7. You will read at least four articles in one of these units and paraphrase the articles. All the articles you paraphrase will be from the same unit. Make sure you have watched the video from Week 1 about how to read scholarly articles.
Read through the rubric below and make sure you have addressed each area so you can maximize your points.
You will format your assignment as follows:
- Your name at the top of the page.
- List the properly formatted (APA style) reference for the article (you will repeat this for each article)
Paraphrase the article. This means write in your own words. You are taking someone else's ideas and using your words to explain what the article says. You must, however, cite any information you take from the article. You will have several in-text citations for each entry. Your paraphrased summary of the article cannot be more than 150 words. In-text citations and reference do not count towards the 150 words. Make sure you include page numbers in your citations.
Repeat for each of the 4 articles.
