In the article from the Afternoon Voice, the article is talking about the poverty of the Mircov family. There are no jobs available therefore the parents are in desperate need of a source of income. By selling their organs, they are hoping to support their family (Afternoon Voice, 2012). The cause for the surge of illegal organ sales as increased due to the information or advertisement on the internet. People are being targeted or sought out because of their poverty. The increase of organ sales on the black market is increasing due to the global shortage of transplants and donors. Some of the causes are the level of poverty these families are in. When they can't find work, and become desperate to provide for their families, they will do whatever it takes. Some effects are that they end up selling organs illegally and could end up in even more trouble.
