Argumentative/Persuasive Research Essay Assignment {1,000-3,000 words, 40 points possible for the final version} this will be an essay in which you set forth a point of view and support it with information you’ve gathered from books, articles, websites, and other sources. You will include an emotional appeal, a call to action, and first person POV may not be used. this case, you will choose a side of a topic to argue. A sound argument makes a claim and offers reasons and evidence in support of that claim. A sound argument also anticipates opposing viewpoints and acknowledges, accommodates, and/or refutes them.

As you decide on your topic and begin research, start thinking about how you want to present/set up your information and argument. Consider point-by-point as an easy way to get your argument across.
