Question: Imagine that you are the mayor of a growing city. Your city gets most of its electric power from a hydroelectric power plant. However, because population is growing, your city will need more electricity, more than can be provided by the hydroelectric power plant. Following are two points of view:
NUCLEAR POWER PLANT BUILDER: The builder shows you plans for a nuclear power plant. The power plant can provide the electricity you need now and for the future, jobs for the people of the city, and provide money for the school system and city.

ENVIRONMENTALIST: The college professor explains to you that living near a nuclear power plant can be dangerous. In case of an accident, radioactivity will be released into the community. The money spent on building the plant could be better spent on improving the hydroelectric dam, or on a nonpolluting source such as solar collectors or windmills.

Choose an opinion from the two viewpoints detailed above and argue why believe that viewpoint is correct, logical reasoning, data and evidence.
