You will do an argumentative and analyzing speech for your oral assignment. You will do the speech in the classroom in front of other students but in smaller groups.
Social injustices have for a very long time been discussed in music and in the lyrics sung by famous artists as well as bands. One example of a song talking about social injustice is "Same Love" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. This song is about that love has no gender and it is for marriage equality, same-sex marriage, which is controversial and banned in many countries as of today.
The assignment:
Choose an English song of your choice where they sing about social injustice.
Argue and critical analyze:
Argue for what social injustice your song is about.Support your argument with evidence from the lyrics of the song.Analyze your song by discussing the song's cultural, political or social impact.
Your presentation:
