Areas for improvement - for motivational interview as an observer role. During class role-play practice helped me as I was able to be an observer, I was able to take notes of different components in the motivational interview. I enjoyed the time we had to practice during class time because everyone was able to perform a motivational interview and as a team, we came together to share ideas on ways to improve before the time of the graded assessment. By being an observer, I noticed that the nurses were communicating to the patients and kept reassuring the clients that they are not trying to persuade or convince them rather to listen and help explore the reason behind they want to change or not.
