Question - After 9/11, the extensive amount of money generated from illegal sales of narcotics in the United States to fund Taliban activities was discovered. Afghanistan is intertwined with drug lords as well. Post 9/11, the war on drugs also became the war on terrorism or narcoterrorism. Foreign aid to Colombia increased so they could fight insurgent groups in the country that were funding terrorists. Do you think this increased foreign aid has been helpful to the United States?
