1. Nurses are arguably the most important human resource in patient care. On a daily basis, they are closer to a patient physically, emotionally and spiritually. The Philippines graduates and exports thousands of nurses every year. Yet why is there a nursing crisis in the Philippines?

2. Filipino nurses are recognized as quality professionals worldwide. As OFWs or immigrants, they enrich the health care systems of other countries where they work. Are we producing nurses for export and not for domestic needs? Is the type of training we provide the problem? Why or why not?
