I chose Best Buy as a platform for online growth and how it has helped saved the company from the same failure as many that have fallen to Amazon. Every single quarter Best Buy is posting growth for the last 4 years. Whereas most brick and mortar are reporting losses.

How could that be? After looking at their earnings it is quite simple they are dominating the online marketplace. Although they sell the same products as say Amazon. Their online growth is exploding and this is due to a dedicated team that is focused on growing online.

They have recreated their entire website and search algorithm to ensure it is simple and quick for everyone to find what they are looking for fast while also showing reviews and comparisons to ensure customers get what they want the first time. Without this refocus in online growth they would have fallen like most others including Circuit City.
