Prospective employees of an engineering firm are told that engineers in the firm work at least 45 hours per week, on the average. A random sample of 40 engineers in the firm showed that, for a particular week, they averaged 44 hours of work with a standard deviation of 3 hours. Are the prospective employees being told the truth?
