The media contains numerous commentaries on the high levels of executive compensation and whether these pay levels are justified given executive performance. They also focus on the growing gap in remuneration between senior management and rank-and-file workers. In preparation for this discussion, students should study a number of print or online articles relating to this issue. They should not hesitate to express their personal values and opinions.
On an individual basis, students will submit an initial reply of 100 to 150 words to each of the six discussion questions posted by the facilitator. Students should also respond at least three times to the initial or subsequent replies of other students. These replies should be 50 to 100 words.
Initial and subsequent replies should be carefully written and edited prior to being posted. Opinions should be well supported. Students will be evaluated primarily on the quality and not the quantity of their submissions.
